This page outlines the terms and conditions for camper trailer hire.
Terms & Conditions - For Hire Agreement
The hirer (person hiring our equipment) agrees to details as described in the agreement as listed. Amounts outlined throughout this agreement are in
Australian Dollars (AUD).
Booking Fee:
Sydney Camper Trailers will tentatively book over the phone and hold that booking for a period of 48 hours.
Booking Period:
The hirer will be charged for all equipment hired at a 'time taken' period and not a 'time used' basis. Hire of our camper trailers is for the agreed time only,
while every effort will be made to accommodate extensions to the initial rental period, we cannot guarantee that an extenuation of the rental will be achieved.
Bond:
A $500.00 cash bond is required on pickup of the camper trailer (this bond covers incidentals such as canvas damage, tyre damage and cleaning costs if required).
A $25 key deposit bond is included in this amount.
Bond Return:
The bond will be refunded within 7 days (either by cash or cheque) from the time the equipment has been returned.
Insurance:
A $1000.00 excess is payable by the hirer in the event of accident.
Pickup & Delivery:
Pickup and returns must be done between 9:00am and 5:30pm Monday to Friday and 9:00am - 4:00pm on Saturday. A late fee will apply if goods are returned
outside these times. For a small fee, Sydney Camper Trailers offers a delivery and pickup service anywhere within the Sydney Metropolitan area. Deliveries and
pickup services outside the metropolitan area will be charged accordingly to the location.
Payment:
Sydney Camper Trailers accepts payments in Cash, Personal Cheque, Bank Cheque, Money Order and Direct Deposit (will provide account details upon request).
Cleaning & Repairs:
Before hire, all equipment is cleaned and maintained to our schedule and should be returned in the same condition. A cleaning fee will apply if the equipment
is not returned in a clean condition. Marks on the canvas are to be wiped off with a cloth and water only. (No cleaning chemicals are to be used on the canvas
as this may damage the waterproofing properties of the canvas). If the equipment is returned damaged the hirer agrees to pay Sydney Camper Trailers the
reasonable cost to the repair and will pay rentals on the equipment at one half of the regular rental rates until repairs are completed. Repair of the equipment
will not commence until the hirer pays Sydney Camper Trailers the estimated cost of such repairs.
Identification & Age Requirement:
Sydney Camper Trailers requires two forms of identification prior to the hiring of our equipment with one form of ID showing a photograph. (i.e. Drivers
License or Passport). Also required is the hirers current residential address and contact details for next of kin. The driver of the towing vehicle to be older than
25 years of age and no older than 70 years of age. Driver of the towing vehicle is to be devoid of enclement driving history.
Late Returns:
All equipment is booked on a 24 hour basis. If equipment is picked up at 9:00am, it is then due for return at 9:00am the following day. Late returns will be
charged at a half daily rate for under four (4) hours late and anything over 4 hours late will be charged at a full daily hire rate.
Early Returns:
There are no refunds, partial or otherwise, and no future credit accrued as a result of early return of the camper.
Repossession of Asset:
The hirer agrees that, under any circumstance whatsoever to allow the managers of Sydney Camper Trailers, or any representative nominated by us, to
enter the hirers premises, or premises where the trailer has been parked, left, or abandoned by the hirer or anyone in the company of the hirer, in order for
us to realise possession of our asset.
Damages:
The hirer understands and agrees that, Sydney Camper Trailers and any of its known affiliates are not accountable for any costs incurred to the hirer as a
result of damage to or theft of any of our equipment during the period of hire. This includes costs such as accommodation, meals, flights, car hire, phone
calls etc or any other costs incurred. All damages to our equipment while in the possession of the hirer must be reported immediately to the management
of Sydney Camper Trailers. All damages sustained to the camper while in the possession of the hirer shall become the sole responsibility of the hirer to repair
to a condition at least equal to the condition of the equipment as existed prior to the damage and or theft event occurring. All repairs are to be undertaken
only as authorised by the management of Sydney Camper Trailers using qualified service personnel nominated by us. All costs for repairs required as result of
damage while on hire shall be paid for by the hirer. Under no circumstance shall any third party be engaged, or act on behalf of the hirer for the purpose of
repairs unless specifically authorised in writing by Sydney Camper Trailers.
Hours of Trading:
Sydney Camper Trailers are open from 9:00am - 5:30pm Monday to Friday and 9:00am - 4:00pm Saturdays. We are closed on Sundays and Public Holidays.
